After use, you can hang it vertically on the pipette holder, but be careful not to fall off. When there is liquid in the pipette tip, do not place the pipette horizontally or upside down to prevent the liquid from flowing back to corrode the piston spring.

Pipette use precautions

(1) When sucking the liquid, the thumb must be released slowly and smoothly, and it must not be suddenly released, so as to prevent the solution from being sucked up too quickly and rushing into the liquid extractor to corrode the plunger and cause air leakage.

(2) In order to obtain higher precision, the sample solution needs to be sucked once before the sample is taken, and then the liquid is officially pipetted. When the serum protein solution or the organic solvent is aspirated, a “liquid film” remains on the inner wall of the tip, causing drainage. The amount is small and produces an error.

(3) Liquids with large concentration and viscosity will produce errors. The amount of compensation to eliminate the error can be determined by experiment. The compensation amount can be set by changing the reading of the reading window with the adjustment knob.

(4) The weight of the pure water taken by the analytical balance can be weighed and calculated to correct the liquid take-up, and the weight of the 1 ml distilled water is 0.9982 g at 20 °C.

(5) It is highly undesirable that the pipette repeatedly hits the tip to tighten it. Long-term operation can loosen the internal parts and damage the pipette.
