A complete pipetting cycle consists of six steps: loading the tip, setting the range, pre-washing the tip, aspirating, draining, and removing the tip.
Pipettes can operate in the 10-100% range, but operation at 10% range requires high pipetting techniques, so it is recommended to operate in the 20 (>20)-100% range.
Filling the tip:
Single channel: correct operation: the pipette sleeve is gently pressed down, and can be rotated a small amount when needed;
Incorrect operation: Strike the tip with force. This method can cause damage to the tip or even the pipette handle, which affects its tightness.
Multi-channel: Align the first path of the pipette with the first tip, insert it obliquely, and shake it in the front-rear direction.
The symbol of the grip of the gun head: slightly over the O-ring, and the connecting part can be seen to form a clear seal.
Adjust from large volume to small volume
According to the normal adjustment method, turn the knob counterclockwise;
Adjust from small volume to large volume
It can be rotated clockwise to reach more than 1/3 turn of the required range and then adjusted back to the desired range.
Before aspirating, first wet the tip with the same solution for 3 times (absorbed and drained three times). After rinsing, the inner wall of the tip will adsorb a layer of solution to make the inner surface of the tip absorb the balance, and at the same time, for some For high saturated vapor pressure solutions, pre-absorption can also reduce the effect of vapor pressure on pipetting accuracy.
Note: Please do not rinse the high temperature or low temperature liquid!
