Factors affecting the accuracy of the yellow pipette tip

(1) Temperature:
When the room temperature is low, the hand temperature is high, which causes the air to expand, and errors often occur when inhaling the cold solution;

(2) Air tightness:
The junction between the tip and the gun body, and the long-term wear between the cylinder inside the gun, causing errors;

(3) Suction speed:
It is easy to cause bubbles in the tip, and it will pollute the gun head;

(4) Volatilization of reagents:
When absorbing reagents with high volatility, the steam enters the gun head, and the internal pressure increases. As a result, when the liquid is pressed out, the pressure becomes larger, and an error occurs;

Solution:
It can be improved by repeatedly pumping 4 to 5 times.

Precautions for use

(1) When drawing liquid, be sure to release your thumb slowly and steadily, and never allow it to be released suddenly, to prevent the solution from being drawn too quickly and rushing into the yellow pipette to corrode the plunger and cause air leakage;

(2) In order to obtain higher precision, the tip needs to suck the sample solution once, and then formally pipette, because when the serum protein solution or organic solvent is drawn, a layer of "liquid film" will remain on the inner wall of the tip, causing discharge. The liquid volume is too small to cause errors;

(3) Liquids with high concentration and viscosity will produce errors. To eliminate the error, the compensation amount can be determined by experiment. The compensation amount can be set by changing the reading of the reading window with the adjustment knob;

(4) The analytical method can be used to calibrate the liquid picker by weighing the weight of pure water and calculating it. The weight of 1mL distilled water at 20 ℃ is 0.9982g;

(5) The method of repeated impaction of the yellow pipette to tighten the pipette is very undesirable. Long-term operation will loosen the internal parts and damage the pipette;

(6) Do not pipette when the pipette is not equipped with a tip;

(7) When setting the range, please note that when you turn to the desired range, the number is clearly displayed in the window. The set range is within the range of the pipette. Do not turn the button out of the range, otherwise it will jam the mechanical device and damage it.

(8) Yellow pipettes are strictly forbidden to absorb highly volatile and highly corrosive liquids (eg, concentrated acids, concentrated alkalis, organic matter, etc.).

(9) It is strictly forbidden to pipette and mix the liquid.

(10) Do not use a large range of pipettes to remove small volumes of liquid, so as not to affect the accuracy. At the same time, if you need to remove a large amount of liquid outside the measuring range, please use a pipette for operation.
